April – Endelig er våren i full gang. Ute synger fuglene og nye ting dukker opp av jorden hver dag. Hva er vel mer naturlig da, enn å velge egg som månedens råvare. For det er jo ikke mye som symbolisere nytt liv mer enn nettopp egg. Dessuten er det jo også påskemåneden nå. Men viktigst av alt er vel at egg er en fantastisk råvare som kan brukes i så mange sammenhenger. Egg brukes til baking, koking, steking, kan spises rå og passer like godt til salt mat som til søtt. Nedenfor har jeg samlet mine 5 beste oppskrifter med egg.

 

Eggerøre – en luksusvariant

Eggerøre hører med til de store feiringene, men like gjerne til en vanlig frokost. Det kan være en temmelig tørr og kjedelig affære, men den kan også være myk, innsmigrende, saftig og aldeles himmelsk. Følger du denne oppskriften får du det siste. For denne eggerøren er laget av deilige egg, masse smør og rikelig med tålmodighet og kjærlighet.

Majones

Majones er noe vi lager rett som det er hjemme hos oss. Når du først har lært deg teknikken er det gjort på noen få minutter å lage en porsjon. Og jeg lover deg at du slett ikke vil gå tilbake til den gamle tubevarianten om du ikke absolutt må. Her er det en variant laget med sitron, men smaksvariantene er mange. Bytt ut sitron med hvitvinseddik og du får en klassisk majones, tilsett hvitløk og du nærmer det aioli, eller rør inn en eller flere urter. Valget er ditt, smaken blir alltid god

Egg i skjærsilden

Dette er en italiensk klassiker og kosemat av dimensjoner. Den er like god å spise som den er enkel å lage. Egg i skjærsilden er rett og slett egg posjert i en herlig krydret tomatsaus. Ordet skjærsilden antyder at dette er en nokså spicy affære. hvor spicy det bestemmer selvsagt du. Spis dette sammen med godt brød og en grønn salat og du har en kjapp middag eller en deilig lunsj.

Spagetti carbonara

Spagetti carbonara hører jo selvsagt med på denne listen. Det er en av familiens absolutte favoritter. Det er ofte den som blir løsningen dersom vi «ikke har noe i kjøleskapet» eller vi har litt dårlig tid. Dette er en rett som krever minimum innsats men gir maksimum smak. Er ikke spagetti carbonara en del av ditt faste repertoar, anbefaler jeg at du sørger for at den blir det.

Pavlova

Så var det den søte finalen. For egg er jo en like viktig ingrediens i søtsaker som i saltmat.  Pavlova med sin sprøde marengs, myke krem og friske bær er virkelig et verdig punktum for et hvert måltid. Lag små porsjonspavlovaer som på bildet her, eller en stor. Disse har en sjokolademascarponekrem. Høres temmelig fristende ut, ikke sant?
