Tomatsuppe er noe nesten alle liker, både barn og voksne. Jeg synes det er noe trygt over en rykede varm bolle med suppe.  Den varmer godt, metter akkurat passe og vekker barndomsminner.  I barndommen var det pose fra Toro som gjaldt. Det var sikkert en av de første tingene jeg lærte meg å lage. Det var jo bare å tømme posen i en gryte sammen med angitt mengde vann. Og så begynte den laaaaange ventetiden på at det først skulle koke opp og deretter de antall angitte minuttene.

Det er sikkert fortsatt mange som lager tomatsuppe på denne måten, men etter å ha hatt en melkeallergiker i huset i noen år, blir man nødt til å finne andre løsninger. Denne oppskriften er ikke en oppskrift på gourmetmat, men en av hverdagens helter. Ingrediensene til denne suppen finnes alltid i mitt spiskammers, og når det dukker opp ekstra gjester rundt middagsbordet og maten må drøyes, eller tiden ikke strekker til for å lage noe annet, trer denne helten på banen. Resultatet blir uansett en god og smaksrik suppe som det ikke tar lengre tid å lage enn det tar å lage tilsvarende variant fra pose. Dersom du har melkeallergi/-intoleranse, må du passe på at buljongen også er melkefri. Det er faktisk noen varianter som inneholder melk.

Ingredienser

  • 1/2 løk, finhakket
  • 2 ss olje
  • 1,5 boks tomatpuré
  • 2 ss hvetemel
  • 1,5 liter vann
  • 3 terninger med hønsebuljong

Fremgangsmåte

  • Fres løken i oljen til den har blitt blank.
  • Tilsett deretter tomatpuréen og la det frese et par minutter til.
  • Rør inn melet.
  • Tilsett vannet - litt til å begynne med og rør ut med en visp slik at det ikke klumper seg. Tilsett resten av vannet.
  • Når det koker tilsettes buljongen.
  • Kok i ca. 5 minutter. Da er suppen ferdig til servering.
  • Dersom du ønsker en helt jevn suppe uten klumper, kan du enten droppe løken, eller bruke stavmikser på den ferdige suppen.

Tips

For at suppen skal mette mer, tilsetter jeg ofte makaroni, hardkokte egg eller kjøttpølser. Makaronien bruker jeg å koke for seg selv og sette på bordet slik at alle kan forsyne seg med så mye de ønsker, men den kan selvsagt også kokes direkte oppi suppen. Da må suppen koke så lenge som makaronien trenger. Tilsett evt. krydder som chili, oregano, basilikum, spisskummen eller pepper for mer smak. Et dryss med friske urter er også godt.
