Er du en av de mange som har en dampovn, men ikke bruker den til så veldig mye. Jeg har inntrykk av at veldig mange som har dampovn hadde store ambisjoner når de anskaffet seg den, men så har interessen og bruken dabbet kraftig av. Det er synd, for den kan brukes til så mye. Det er for eksempel veldig bra å bruke dampovn til julematen.

Det mest opplagete er kanskje å lage pinnekjøttet i dampovnen, for det skal jo dampes. Med dampovnen er du sikret at det ikke koker tørt og du trenger ikke den kjempestore gryten. Har du ikke prøvd det før kan det absolutt anbefales.

Ribbe i dampovn er også fint, og særlig dersom du har en så kalt kombidampovn der du kan sette på litt varmluft til slutt for å sprø opp ribba. Resultatet blir en veldig saftig og god ribbe.

Lutefisken er jo også en no-brainer. Dampovnen kan du se fisken hele tiden i motsetning til om du damper den i vanlig ovn med aluminiumsfolie over.

Til og med enkelte desserter kan lages i dampovnen. Jeg forsker fortsatt på karamellpuddingen, men denne creme bruleen er helt super å lage i dampovnen.
