JULI – det er høysommer og ferietid. I matveien er det is på pinne, grillpølser, jordbær, moreller, vannmelon og masse annet godt. Men det som nesten skriker høyest sommer av alt er makrell. Hva er vel større lykke enn å fiske og så plutselig treffe på en makrellstim for så å trekke opp flere titalls fisker på «no time».  Da smaker det selvsagt ekstra godt med stekt egenfisket makrell til kveldsmat. Men har du ikke båt, eller fiskelykke, går det fint an å kjøpe makrell i fiskedisken også. Dyrt er det ikke og godt er det fortsatt. Nedenfor finner du mine 5 beste oppskrifter med makrell.

 

Sommersalat med makrell

Dette er en deilig, sommerlig salat som metter godt, for det er både poteter, aspargesbønner og selvsagt makrell i den. I oppskriften har jeg brukt peppermakrell fra butikken, men det går fint an å bruke kald stekt makrell også. Dette er en fin måte å bruke opp makrellen om det skulle være noe igjen fra middagen igår.

Uansett hvor godt jeg synes makrell er, så er ikke alltid stekelukten i huset lenge etterpå like god. Derfor er det en god idé å grille fisken ute. I denne oppskriften har jeg grillet fileter av makrellen. Det gjør det jo litt lettere å spise, og fortsatt utrolig godt. I en samling med mine beste oppskrifter med makrell kommer jeg selvsagt ikke utenom stekt makrell med rømmesaus. Det er vel klassikeren over alle klassikere.  Og det er ikke så rart, for det er jo kjempegodt.

Makrellrøre med urter

Dersom det ikke er nok med makrell til middag, kan du lage denne makrellrøren til å ha på brødskiva. Her har jeg brukt varmrøkt makrell og tilsatt masse urter og sitronsaft. Litt rømme og majones binder røren sammen. Det er skikkelig tango for smaksløkene.

Av og til spretter jeg buken opp på makrellen og erstatter innvollene med friske urter. Det gir en god smak og er lett som en plett. Ta det du har av urter nesten alt blir godt.
