MARS –  dette er kanskje en av de kjedeligste månedene i kalenderen når det kommer til gode råvarer. Naturen har foreløpig ikke så mye å by på, og de vinterlagrede rotgrønnsakene begynner å bli ganske kjedelige. Da kan det være kjekt å ha linser og bønner å ty til. Disse små tørre greiene er proppfulle av energi, kan brukes på så uendelig mange måter og er i en eller annen form i bruk over hele verden. Etter de mange tomme hyllene de siste ukene å dømme, er det nå mange som sitter med store lager med bønner og linser. Derfor lar jeg dette bli månedens råvare, og gir deg mine 5 beste oppskrifter med bønner og linser.

Dette er en skikkelig familiefavoritt hjemme hos oss. De er populære til middag, men også supre å ha med med i matpakken. Vi serverer dem gjerne i pitabrød sammen med masse gode grønnsaker.

Denne deilige suppen her er en skikkelig hverdagshelt. På under en halv time kan du ha middagen ferdig, og i tillegg smaker den kjempegodt.

Hummus

Denne må selvfølgelig med på topp 5 listen min. Hummus er jo en anvendlig greie. Den kan brukes som dip sammen med masse gode grønnsaker, brukes som pålegg på en brødskive eller danne basisen for et helt måltid som i denne retten med lammeskav. Det er egentlig bare fantasien som setter grenser.

Chili con carne

Etter min mening er det lite som slår en gryte dampende varm chili con carne på en litt ruskete dag. Det er mat som varmer langt inn i margen og gir krefter til å holde ut resten av dagen.

Inderne har tatt kunsten å bruke linser til de store høyder. Dette er en enkel linsegryte med gule linser. Den er en skikkelig favoritt hjemme hos oss – i den grad at vi til og med hadde den til middag en dag i romjulen klemt innimellom ribbe, pinnekjøtt, reinsdyr og mye annet godt.

Fun fact

Linser spises i store deler av verden, og finnes i utallige varianter. Det finnes røde, gule, grønne, brune og svarte liner i forskjellige størrelser. De regnes som en av de eldste plantene som har blitt dyrket som mat. Det er funnet sammen med boplasser fra 11.000 år før Kristus i Hellas.
