Mars – Selv om vi kan kjøpe appelsiner nesten hele året nå, er de definitivt best på denne tiden. De er så herlig søte, saftige og forbløffende allsidige. Det er selvfølgelig helt nydelig å sitte i solveggen og spise en saftig appelsin og kjenne solstrålene varme i kinnene. Men appelsin kan brukes til så mye mer. De passer faktisk like godt til mye saltmat som til desserter og kaker. Her har jeg samlet mine 5 beste oppskrifter med appelsin.

 

Appelsinmarmelade

Appelsinmarmelade, ordet får kanskje noen til å rynke litt på nesen og tenke på gamle støvete tanter. Men for en som ikke er så veldig glad i søt søte ting, er dette en utrolig deilig marmelade som byr på litt bitterhet også. Den er deilig på toast, men også god å bake med eller bruke som tilbehør til ost. I min appelsinmarmelade har jeg litt kardemomme. Det synes jeg gjør den enda bedre.

Dette er en av de aller beste smakskombinasjonene jeg vet om. Den er selvfølgelig gjort udødelig i den franske retten and a l’orange og dette er en litt forenklet variant. Dette er den oppnåelige hurtigvarianten for hjemmebruk, men oh my så godt allikevel.

En litt unnselig, og ganske så enkel formkake, men med en stor smak av appelsin. Dette er kaken du fort kan slenge sammen når du har lyst på noe godt, eller du snart får gjester inn av døren.

Appelsin i woken? Ja det går faktisk veldig bra og det gjør denne woken et lite friskt løft. Og igjen er det kombinasjonen fjærkre og appelsin som jeg synes er så vellykket.

Dobbelt sjokoladebiscotti med appelsinsmak

Vel, jeg kommer ikke utenom en oppskrift med både appelsin og sjokolade. Det er også en av de fantastisk gode kombinasjonene, for riktignok er sjokolade god, men sammen med appelsin blir det helt himmelsk. Jeg liker godt å ha en boks med kjeks stående. Jeg trenger ikke et stort kakestykke, men en kjeks (OK eller 2 da) sammen med en kopp te er helt nydelig.
