Jeg har flere tomatsupper på bloggen min allerede, men tomatsuppe blir man jo aldri lei, og her kommer en ny litt sterk og røkt variant med pasta. For å få suppen sterk har jeg brukt både chilipulver og Tabasco. Hvor sterk smak man liker varierer jo voldsomt. Se derfor på mengdene nedenfor som veiledende. Krydret tomatsuppe er litt sterk, men ikke veldig. Den litt røkte smaken kommer fra røkt paprika, også her varierer det nok med hva man synes er passe. Begynn heller med litt for lite og tilsett mer. Omvendt er det vanskelig å få gjort noe i etterkant.

I tillegg til å inneholde tomater selvsagt, er det en god del gulrøtter i denne suppen. Det var det imidlertid ingen rundt bordet som oppdaget, for suppen var kjørt med stavmikser. Dette er en ypperlig måte å «snike» mer grønnsaker inn i maten på, om det skulle være behov for det.

Til suppen har jeg brukt små pastabiter som jeg har kjøpt i en innvandrerbutikk, men det går helt fint å bruke makaroni, eller annen liten pasta. Alternativt går det jo an å brekke spagetti i kortere biter. Jeg synes bare ikke det passer så godt med store pastabiter i en suppe som denne.

Ingredienser

  • 1 gul løk
  • 2 fedd hvitløk
  • 1/2 ts røkt paprikapulver
  • 1/2 ts chilipulver
  • olje til steking
  • 2 gulrøtter
  • 1 liter grønnsaksbuljong
  • 2 ss tomatpure
  • 2 bokser knuste tomater
  • 1 ts salt
  • nykvernet pepper
  • 1 ts sukker
  • 2 ts rødvinseddik
  • dråper med Tabasco
  • 2 dl ferdig kokt småpasta

Fremgangsmåte

  • Finhakk løk og hvitløk og riv gulrøttene på et råkostjern.
  • Fres gulrøtter, løk og hvitløk i en gryte til det blir mykt og blankt.
  • Tilsett krydderne og fres enda ett minutt.
  • Ha oppi tomatpureen og fres i enda ett minutt.
  • Tilsett buljong og tomatene og la suppen koke i ca. 10 minutter.
  • Kjør suppen glatt med stavmixer og smak på suppen. Juster evt.  smaken dersom du ønsker mer av noe. Kok pastaen i en gryte for seg selv, og ha oppi rett før servering.

Server med godt brød ved siden av og evt. en skikkelig klatt rømme oppi.
