Det er fortsatt mulig å få tak i norske epler i butikken. Jeg leverte inn de fleste eplene til juicepressing for et par uker siden, men vi har fortsatt noen igjen. Jeg bestemte meg for å lage litt eplemos. Vanligvis har jeg laget eplemosen av sommerepler. Da har jeg kokt dem til mos. For lenge siden leste jeg på bloggen Green Bonanza at hun lagde mosen på en annen måte, nemlig ved å bake eplene i ovnen og deretter mose dem i en blender. Smaken skulle bli mer intens og konsistensen mindre vannete. Det fikk jeg lyst til å prøve.

Som tenkt, så gjort. Eplene våre har et nydelig rødt skall, mens fruktkjøttet er skinnende hvitt. Dessuten er de temmelig syrlige, men bakemetoden skulle bringe frem det som var av sødme i eplene. Litt sukker må også til, men ikke så mye. Resultatet ble utrolig godt. Smaken ble passe syrlig, konsistensen fløyelsmyk og fargen aldeles nydelig rødrosa. En innertier med andre ord. Ingredienser

  • 8 middels store epler
  • 4 ss sukker
  • saften fra 1 sitron

Fremgangsmåte

  • Sett ovnen på 200 grader.
  • Vask eplene og skjær dem i grove biter. Skallet skal sitte på, men kjernehuset skal ikke med.
  • Legg eplebitene i en ildfast form og ha sukker og sitronsaft over. Bland litt.
  • Bak eplebitene i ovnen i ca. 35 minutter.
  • Ta eplene ut og ha dem over i blenderen. Kjør til en jevn masse dersom mosen skal være glatt. Stopp litt tidligere dersom mosen skal ha litt eplebiter i.
