Pin

Mye av julen dreier seg om ribba, julepløsene, medisterkakene, pinnekjøttet, torsken og lutefisken, men tilbehøret er også viktig. Derfor har jeg samlet et lite knippe oppskrifter på klassisk og kanskje litt mindre klassisk tilbehør til julematen.

Hva er vel ribbe uten kål ved siden av? Noen liker surkål, mens andre sverger til rødkål.

Rødkål

Og de fleste er vel enige om at pinnekjøtt må serveres med en god kålrabistappe ved siden av.

Rosenkål er også et populært tilbehør i julen. Dessverre synes jeg denne grønnsaken har en lei tendens til å serveres overkokt, og da er den ikke noe annet enn veldig kjedelig. Hva med å gi rosenkålen en liten vri og bake den i ovnen i stedet. Sammen med litt valnøtter for krønsj blir det kjempegodt.

Ovnsbakte regnbuegulrøtter med smør og timian

Det er ikke bare rosenkålen som blir ekstra god når den bakes i ovnen. Prøv å gi gulrøttene en omgang i ovnen i stedet for i kokende vann. Du vil garantert bli overrasket over hvor søte de blir. I denne oppskriften har jeg brukt regnbuegulrøtter, men det blir like godt, bare litt mindre fargerikt, med vanlige gulrøtter. Deilig tilbehør til julematen er det i hvert fall, uansett om det står skinkestek, torsk eller kalkun på menyen.

Det er også mange som spiser reinsdyr i løpet av julen. Kokte poteter og viltsaus er vanlig tilbehør, men hvorfor ikke prøve en liten vri? Lag selleri og potetgrateng og server ved siden av. Det er nydelig tilbehør som passer perfekt til reinsdyrkjøtt.
