Desember er måneden for juleforberedelser, julestria og julefeiring, men også måneden for innekos, varme drikker, fyr på peisen og mye selskapelighet. Her kommer oppskrift på en drikk som  kan nytes når som helst. Alene foran peisen med en godt bok, server til gjester og annet godtfolk, etter en lang tur ute i vinterkulden, eller i grunnen hver gang du har lyst på noe godt. Den kan dessuten drikkes av både barn og voksne.
Drikken har en frisk smak fra juiceen og en god kryddersmak fra alle de krydderne jeg forbinder med jul. Utover den gode smaken, er det to store fordeler med denne drikken. Det første er at den kan forberedes i god tid, og bare varmes opp rett før servering. Det betyr at det blir mindre stress når du skal servere den og at det er mulig å lage en stor porsjon og ha klar i kjøleskapet dersom lysten skulle melde seg. Den andre fordelen er at alkoholen tilsettes helt til slutt, gjerne rett i glasset. Dermed blir det ikke vanskelig å servere denne drikken til alle, uansett om de drikker alkohol eller ikke.
Skulle du slumpe til å ha calvados i barskapet tipper jeg at det blir enda bedre.

Ingredienser

  • 1 kanelstang
  • 3 cm fersk ingefær
  • 10 kardemommekapsler
  • 4 stjerneanis
  • 2 ss brunt sukker
  • 2 dl vann
  • 1 appelsin
  • 1 flaske god eplejuice
  • cognac

Fremgangsmåte

  •  Legg alle krydderne sammen med sukker og vann i en liten gryte og kok opp.
  • La det trekke på svak varme i min 30. minutter.
  • Press saften av 1/2 appelsin. Skjær den andre halvdelen i tynne skiver.
  • Sil krydderblandingen.
  • Inntil dette steget kan drikken forberedes i god tid. Dersom du ikke skal drikke med en gang, avkjøles krydderlaken og settes i kjøleskapt til den skal brukes.
  • Hell laken i en gryte sammen med eplejuicen og appelsinjuicen.
  • Varm opp til den er rykende varm.
  • Server i glass med appelsinskiver oppi.
  • Til de voksne er det veldig godt med en god klunk cognac oppi.
