Endelig! Endelig smaker tomater – tomat. Det er et av sommerens høydepunkter for meg. Jeg simpelthen elsker tomater. De kan brukes til så mye, men på denne tiden av året synes jeg det er best å gjøre så lite som mulig med dem slik at den gode, søte tomatsmaken får komme til sin rett. Egentlig kan tomatene bare spises slik de er – au naturell, men med litt ekstra følge blir det fest på tallerkenen og i munnen. Denne tomatsalaten er nettopp en slik enkel rett som tar nesten null tid å lage og samtidig er utrolig god i sommervarmen.

At tomater og fetaost er en god kombinasjon er det mange som vet etter å ha spist gresk salat. Denne salaten er enda enklere for jeg har skrelt den ned til et minimum og en oppskrift er nesten overflødig, men her kommer den allikevel.

Ingredienser

  • 6 solmodne tomater
  • 100 gr fetaost
  • 10 basilikumblader 
  • nykvernet pepper
  • god olivenolje

Fremgangsmåte

  • Skjær tomatene i skiver og dander utover 4 tallerkener.
  • Knus fetaosten med en gaffel slik at det blir fetasmuler.
  • Fordel osten oppå tomatskivene.
  • Skjær basilikumbladene i tynne strimler og legg oppå osten.
  • Kvern litt pepper over (salt er ikke nødvendig, for osten er salt nok i seg selv).
  • Drypp noen dråper olivenolje over.

Vel bekomme det er servert. Enklere og bedre blir det ikke.
