Jeg vet ikke om det er det sommerlige været, eller helt andre ting som gjør det, men nå har jeg endelig igjen skikkelig lyst til å utfolde meg på kjøkkenet igjen. Jeg har fått lyst til å eksperimentere og ikke bare lage sikre og velprøvde retter for å ha mat på bordet til familien. Dette vil også gjøre seg gjeldende på bloggen etter hvert håper jeg. I helgen lagde jeg rabarbrasyltetøy. Det ble skikkelig godt. Litt vanilje og stjerneanis sørget for en krydret undertone sammen med det søte og syrlige. Mens jeg sto der og kokte syltetøyet, kom jeg på at det sikkert hadde vært ypperlig fyll til snurrer. Da var det ikke langt fra tanke til handling, og disse nydelige (om enn nokså klissete) rabarbrasnurrene så dagens lys.

Ingredienser

  • 500 g hvetemel
  • 1 dl sukker
  • 25 g gjær
  • 3 dl melk
  • 75 g smør
  • 2 ts kardemomme
  • 1 egg
  • en liten klype salt 
  • rabarbrasyltetøy

Fremgangsmåte

  • Hvetemel, sukker, kardemomme og salt blandes i en kjøkkenmaskin.
  • Tilsett lunken melk og egget og smuldre gjæren oppi.
  • Sett i gang maskinen og la den gå i 5-6 minutter.
  • Skjær smøret i små terninger og ha det oppi deigen mens maskinen går.
  • Elt i ytterlige 4-5 minutter.
  • Sett deigen lunt og den heve til den er omtrent dobbelt så stor – omtrent en time.
  • Hell deigen ut på en melete flate og kjevle ut deigen til en firkant på 30x40 cm.
  • Smør på med rabarbrasyltetøy og rull leiven sammen.
  • Skjær rullen opp i stykker på ca. 3 cm.
  • Sett på stekebrett med bakepapir og la det etterheve i ca. 30 minutter.
  • Stekes på 220 grader i ca. 10 minutter.
  • Avkjøl på rist. Bland litt melis med vann og ha over og server.

Dersom du ikke har rabarbrasyltetøy, kan du selvsagt bruke annet syltetøy som for eksempel syltetøy av plomme eller eplemos.
