Noen desserter skriker bestemor lang vei. Fruktgrøter, som rabarbragrøt, er en slik type dessert. Disse dessertene har vært fullstending utrendy så lenge, at det er på høy tid at de blir trendy igjen. Og det tror jeg faktisk de er i ferd med å bli, for det er ikke vanskelig å finne oppskrifter på diverse blogger og nettsteder. Hagebruk har blitt en hip ting, og med det følger også et naturlig behov for å bruke det som kommer opp av bakken.

Rabarbra er en av de tingene som kommer tidlig opp og kan høstes på vårparten, og derfor synes jeg det er ekstra stas med den. Er liksom litt sulteforet på fersk mat etter en lang og kald vinter. Rabarbraen vokser villig og mange stilker må høstes for at den ikke skal ta overhånd. Rabarbragrøt en søndag, eller to i sesongen, gjør vel ikke akkurat rent bord i rabarbrabeddet, men du verden så godt det er.

Rabarbragrøt med sukker og fløte på er aldeles nydelig. Den sursøte, litt tyktflytende grøten er helt perfekt etter et større grillmåltid. Skulle det bli noen rester der det kjempedeilig å spise oppå yoghurt eller havregrøten. Det er med andre ord ingen grunn til å lage en liten porsjon.

Ingredienser

  • 700 gr rabarbra
  • 4 dl vann
  • 1 dl sukker
  • 2 !/2 ss potetmel

Fremgangsmåte

  • Skyll rabarbraen, og fjern evt. skallet dersom det er blitt tykt.
  • Skjær rabarbraen i 2 cm lange biter.
  • Ha vann, sukker og rabarbra i en gryte og kok opp. La det koke til rabarbraen er helt mør på middels varme.
  • Dersom du ønsker en nokså glatt grøt, kan du røre slik at stilkene går i oppløsning. Hvis du vil ha litt klumper lar du bare være å røre.
  • Rør potetmelet ut i litt kaldt vann, og hell det i grøten i en tynn stråle mens du rører i grøten.
  • La grøten få et kort oppkok og hell deretter over i en serveringsbolle.

Sett i kjøleskapet etter at den har fått romtemperatur. Server med fløte og sukker. Vel bekomme.

Tips

For å unngå at grøten får snerk, kan du drysse litt sukker på toppen etter at den er helt over i serveringsbollen.
