Jada. Dip er alltid godt, og denne er ikke noe unntak. Min gulrothummus er fløyelsmyk med en litt rund og mild smak – og for en farge. Blir du ikke godt humør av den, så vet jeg ikke hva.  Gulrothummusen er litt søtere enn vanlig hummus, men har fortsatt den gode smaken av tahin og smaker derfor umiskjennelig av hummus. Jeg synes det er tahinen gjør denne gulrothummusen til noe annet enn babymat.

Å lage den der i mot, det er ingen sak. Gulrøttene må riktignok dampes, men når det er gjort er det bare å kjøre alt til en jevn masse. Og så gjenstår det å skjær opp masse deilige grønnsaker og kanskje litt pitabrød og dypp i vei.

Ingredienser

  • 1 liten pakke kikerter (175 gr)
  • 2 store gulrøtter
  • 2 ss tahin
  • 3 ss olivenolje
  • 1/2 ts salt
  • 1/2 sitron, saften
  • nykvernet pepper
  • 1 dl vann

Fremgangsmåte

  • Damp gulrøttene helt møre, og la dem kjøle seg ned til romtemperatur
  • Del gulrøttene i mindre biter og kjør dem sammen med resten av ingrediensene men bare halvparten av vannet til en puré.
  • Juster med mer vann om du synes konsistensen blir for tykk.
  • Smak til og juster evt. med mer salt eller sitron.

Pynt gjerne bollen med et dryss spisskummen, stekte solsikkekjerner og litt persille før servering.
