Så ofte jeg kan, handler jeg i grønnsaksbutikker. Disse har som regel et stort utvalg av flotte grønnsaker og ofte også noen mer eller mindre ukjente ting jeg liker å prøve. Sist jeg var innom en slik butikk tok jeg med meg en stor pose med tyrkiske paprikaer. Jeg må si at jeg i en del tilfeller er litt usikker på hvor grensen mellom paprika og chili går. De paprikaene jeg kjøpte er lange, smale, gulgrønne og sterkere enn vanlig paprika, så i min verden er de ett sted sånn mellom paprika og chili. De hadde to varianter i butikken, en litt sterk og en litt mildere. Jeg gikk for den litt sterke varianten. Den var allikevel ikke så sterk at den ikke lett kunne spises.

Ofte har jeg sett disse paprikaene syltet sammen med andre grønnsaker. Det er godt, men jeg gikk for en annen tilberedningsmetode. Jeg slang dem rett og slett på grillen. Alt jeg gjorde var å pensle dem med litt olivenolje først. Så fikk de en tur på en skikkelig varm grill. Varmen fra grillen bragte frem sødmen i paprikaene uten at de mistet noe av snerten sin. Sammen med god olivenolje og litt flaksalt ble dette simpelthen superdigg. Holy maccaroni – dette ble godt. Topp tilbehør til all slags grillmat – kjøtt, fisk, fugl eller andre grønnsaker. Dette passer bra til alt.

Ingredienser

  • 1 pose tyrkiske paprikaer (1 kg)
  • olivenolje til pensling
  • flaksalt
  • god olivenolje til å dryppe over til slutt

Fremgangsmåte

  • Varm grillen opp skikkelig.
  • Skyll og tørk paprikaene.
  • Pensle dem med litt olivenolje og legg på grillen, Kanskje halvannet minutt på hver side. De skal bare bli myke og falle litt sammen.
  • Ta av varmen, dryss over flaksalt og ringle over litt god olivenolje.

Nytes alene, eller ved siden av grillet kjøtt eller fisk. Nydelig.
