Ingenting er vel mer hyggelig enn å sette seg ned med en kopp varm drikke og en deilig kjeks med nøtter og store sjokoladebiter i. Det måtte være å skifte ut den varme drikken med et glass kald, frisk melk, da. Med disse kjeksene er det litt som i den gamle Tuborg-reklamen; Når smaker chocolate chip cookies best? Hver gang!

Forming av kjeksene

Jeg har ofte synes det er vanskelig å få kjeks som er omtrent like store. Derfor foretrekker jeg ofte kjeks som lages som en rull og skjæres i skiver. Da er det lettere å sikre seg et nokså likt utseende. Men for ikke lenge siden så jeg på en amerikansk blogg en som brukte en iskuledings til å lage like kuler av deigen med. På den måten blir det jo den samme mengden kakedeig hver gang. Jeg har ikke en sånn iskuledings, men fant en liten tumber (tinndings) som hadde riktig størrelse. Den stappet jeg kakedeigen oppi og pirket ut deigen. Så fikk jeg omtrent like store kjeks. Kanskje ikke så elegant som iskuledingsen, men det fungerte. Kanskje du har visst om dette trikset i evigheter, men hvis ikke så vet du det nå.

Ingredienser

  • 115 gr smør
  • 100 gr hvitt sukker
  • 120 gr brunt sukker
  • 1 egg
  • ½ ts natron
  • 175 gr hvetemel
  • 200 gr mørk sjokolade
  • 100 gr hasselnøtter

Fremgangsmåte

Denne oppskriften gir omtrent 20 cookies.

  • Begynn med å ta smøret ut av kjøleskapet – de skal være romtemperert.
  • Rist nøttene i en stekepanne til de har blitt varme og det begynner å lukte nøtter i rommet. Ta dem av varmen og gni dem i et kjøkkenhåndkle. Da faller mye av det tynne skallet av.
  • Sett ovnen på 150 grader.
  • Hakk sjokolade og nøtter og sett til side.
  • Rør smør og sukker til det blir helt uten klumper og luftig.
  • Rør inn egg og natron.
  • Rør inn hvetemel og bland til alt er godt blandet.
  • Ha oppi sjokolade og nøtter og bland godt.
  • Del deigen i ca. 20 like store klumper. Har du en sånn isskje er den en akkurat passe størrelse. Det har ikke jeg, så jeg brukte en tumbler i tinn jeg har som mål.
  • Stek kjeksene høyt i ovnen i 18 minutter.
  • La dem avkjøle seg litt på bakebrettet før de løftes over på en bakerist for å bli helt kalde.

Oppbevares i en kakeboks, om det blir noen igjen.

Tips

Jeg har brukt hasselnøtter i disse kjeksene. Men du kan like gjerne bruke andre nøtter som valnøtter, pecannøtter eller mandler. Resultatet blir litt forskjellig, men det er jo smak og behag også.
