Dette er tradmat på sitt aller beste. Torsk med stuede gulrøtter og bacon er nemlig en super smakskombinasjon. Det er mild fisk som får et løft av det salte baconet og spiller flott opp mot de søte gulrøttene. Det er kanskje ikke så vanlig å stue grønnsaker lenger, men det tar ikke lang tid å lage. Det er ganske lett å lage og det smaker rett og slett nydelig. Er det lenge siden sist du har lagd og spist stuede grønnsaker, anbefaler jeg det å gi det en ny sjanse. Du kommer ikke til å angre.

En grunn til at vi ikke har hatt det så ofte, er at jeg har antatt at Tuppen og Lillemor ikke ville synes noe særlig om det. De har nemlig klart og tydelig sagt i fra om at kokte gulrøtter ikke står høyest på listen deres. Men, kryss i taket, dette likte de. Jeg tror nok at den hvite sausen gjorde susen.

Ingredienser

  • poteter til 4 personer
  • 4 gulrøtter
  • vann til koking
  • 1 ts salt
  • 1 ts sukker
  • 50 gr smør
  • 1,5 ss hvetemel
  • 2,5 dl kokevann av gulrøttene
  • 3 ss fløte
  • salt og pepper
  • 1 pk bacon i skiver
  • evt. 100 gr smør
  • 600 gr torskeloin

Fremgangsmåte

  • Begynn med å sette over poteter.
  • Skrell og skjær gulrøttene i skiver på ca. 1/2 cm.
  • Kok gulrøttene i vannet tilsatt salt og sukker til de er møre - hold av 2,5 dl av kokevannet.
  • Mens gulrøttene koker, skjær baconet i strimler og stek til det er sprøtt.
  • Sett til side og ta vare på baconfettet også.
  • Smelt smør i en gryte og rør inn melet.
  • Spe med litt av kokevannet fra gulrøttene og rør slik at det ikke er noen klumper.
  • Ha i resten av kokevannet og rør godt og la sausen småkoke i 5 minutter.
  • Tilsett fløten og rør til det er godt blandet inn i sausen.
  • Ha oppi gulrøttene og varm opp og hold det varmt til servering.
  • Sett på kokevann med godt med salt oppi til torsken.
  • Når potetene er nesten ferdige legges torsken i det kokende vannet. Legg på lokk, trekk gryten til side og la torsken trekke i 7 minutter.
  • Smelt evt. mer smør, om du ønsker det sammen med baconet.

Server torsken straks med de stuede gulrøttene, nykokte poteter og bacon. Vel bekomme.

Tips

Stuede gulrøtter smaker også veldig godt til salt eller røkt mat som røkt skinke, pinnekjøtt eller også kjøttkaker.
