August og endelig er plommene modne. I noen korte uker henger de der på treet og må spises. Er du så heldig å ha et plommetre, eller kjenner noen som har det, er det bare å fråtse. Plommer er her og nå – spis, spis, spis. Aller best liker jeg kanskje å bare spise dem au-naturelle, men det er faktisk ganske mye annet man kan bruke plommer til også. Dette syltetøyet er skikkelig godt og veldig enkelt å lage. Rens plommer og epler, kok opp, tilsett sukker og kok mer og hell på rene glass. Syltetøyet er godt på skiva, men er også fint å bruke i bakst eller som dessert.

Dette er en raffinert dessert laget med inspirasjon fra Italia. Deilige plommer kokt i en sukkerlake krydret med sitron og timian. Det høres kanskje litt rart ut, men smaker vidunderlig.

Plommegrøt med fløte

Dette er en dessert med stor bestemorfaktor. Ikke noe galt i det altså, for dette er en deilig dessert. Plommer, sukker og vanilje kokes til plommene er helt møre. Den ferdige grøten serveres romtemperert med fløte på.
