Pin

Brownies er en kake som faller i smak hos de aller fleste. Det er derfor en ypperlig kake å servere når det er familieselskap eller andre større sammenkomster med barn i alle aldre. Mine festbrownies inneholder rikelig med skikkelig sjokolade og deilige valnøtter. Det gir den en litt mer feststemt karakter, synes jeg.

For litt ekstra smak og krønsj, rister jeg valnøttene i ovnen først. Det gir en langt dypere og rikere smak på nøttene. Det er et triks jeg hørte på en podcast som heter Radio Cherry bombe. Både teknikken og podcasten kan anbefales på det varmeste. Podcastens vinkling er damer og mat, og hver episode byr på gode intervjuer med en eller to kvinner som på en eller annen måte gjør seg bemerket på den amerikanske matscenen.

Ingredienser

  • 200 gr + 100 gr mørk sjokolade
  • 175 gr smør
  • 325 gr sukker
  • 130 gr hvetemel
  • 3 egg
  • 100 gr valnøtter

Fremgangsmåte

  • Sett ovnen på 170 grader. Rist valnøttene i 10-15 minutter. Ta dem ut, avkjøl og grovhakk. Sett til side
  • Hakk 100 gram av sjokoladen i grove biter. Sett til side.
  • Smelt resten sjokolade og smør over vannbad. Når det har blitt en jevn masse tas bollen av varmen.
  • Tilsett sukkeret og rør det godt inn.
  • Rør deretter inn melet.
  • Avslutt med å røre inn ett og ett egg av gangen. Nå skal deigen være tykk og jevn.
  • Rør inn valnøttene og sjokoladebitene.
  • Hell deigen over i en form (min er ca. 20x30 cm) kledt med bakepapir.
  • Stek 30-35 minutter på 170 grader. Kaken skal fortsatt være litt myk i midten
  • Avkjøl helt, og dryss over melis før servering.

Server gjerne med is, karamellsaus, frukt eller friske bær ved siden av.
