For mange er ikke 17. mai komplett uten eggedosis.Den kan stå på lunchbuffeten, eller være premie etter sekkeløpet. Uansett når man velger å servere den er det en enkel dessert som ikke krever stort annet enn en mixmaster og tålmodighet. Denne desserten er så enkel å lage at selv et barn kan gjøre det.

Og det er nettopp det jeg forbinder med eggedosis. Som nokså liten elsket jeg og venninnene mine å eksperimentere på kjøkkenet, og eggdosis var noe av det vi likte å lage. Det var søtt og godt ogsom sagt, veldig enkelt å lage. Det eneste var det med tålmodighet – det er jo ikke så enkelt når man er syv, åtte år. Men vi visste jo at det lønte seg å holde ut, så vi byttet på å holde mixmasteren. Og til slutt ble vi jo alltid belønnet med det deiligste lysegule søte skummet.  Vi spiste den med hver vår skje fra den store bollen, og passet nøye på at ingen spiste fortere eller hadde større skje enn de andre. Rettferdig skulle det jo være.

Senere har jeg skjønt at eggedosisen kan fiffes opp på ulike måter. Er det barnefri sone kan man jo ha litt likør eller cognac i. Og uansett er det deilig at eggedosisen, som i voksen alder har en lei tendens til å blitt kvalmende i store mengder, kan få følge med friske bær eller frukt. Et lett dryss med mørk  sjokolade gjør seg også veldig godt. I dag hadde jeg litt vanilje i også. Oppskriften er enkel. Det er ett egg og 1 ss sukker per person.

Fremgangsmåte

  • Knekk eggene i en boller og ha i sukker og vanilje.
  • Pisk til det blir en luftig og lysegul krem.

Server i porsjonsglass med friske bær eller frukt og et dryss med revet sjokolade. Vel bekomme og ha en fortreffelig 17. mai.
