Har du spist edamamebønner? Det er ikke noe jeg spiser så ofte, men jeg synes det er godt og har det av og til. Edamame er umodne, grønne soyabønner. De fås i butikker som selger japansk mat og jeg har også sett dem i flere Menybutikker. I Japan serveres de ofte i belgen som barsnacks. Da er de kokt i saltvann, og så må man selv plukke bønnene ut av belgen. Litt å holde på med ved siden av ølen altså. I dag fikk jeg lyst til å lage en annen variant, og lagde edamame med soya og chili.

Bønnene ble akkurat slik jeg hadde tenkt meg. De ble salte, spicy og om ikke akkurat sprø, så i hvert fall litt crispy på utsiden. De smaker definitivt best rett fra ovnen, mens de fortsatt er varme og litt crispy.

For å lage disse brukte jeg ferdig rensede bønner. Du kan selvsagt bruke bønner i belg, da må du bare rense dem først.

Ute av belgen er edamamebønnene også fine å bruke i salater, gryteretter og ellers som en helt vanlig grønnsak. De har en nydelig litt nøtteaktig smak og er fulle av gode næringsstoffer. Jeg har tidligere lagt ut en oppskrift torsk i pakke med asiatiske smaker, der jeg har brukt edamame.

Ingredienser

  • 400 gr edamamebønner uten belg
  • 2 ss soyasaus
  • 2 ts sesamfrøolje
  • 1 liten thaichili, finhakket
  • nykvernet sort pepper

Fremgangsmåte

  • Forvarm ovnen til 170 grader varmluft.
  • Tin bønnene og klapp dem så tørre som mulig i et kjøkkenhåndkle.
  • Bland soyasaus, sesamolje, finhakket chili og pepper i en bolle.
  • Bland inn bønnene og rør godt.
  • Legg bønnene på et bakepapir og stek i ovnen i ca. 30 minutter. Rør ved halv tid.
  • Server helst varme.
