Så skal det visstnok bli varmt igjen, og da må jo grilldressen på og maten ut i friluft. Pølser er selvfølgelig fint å slenge på grillen, men det er mye annet å legge på også, men mer om det senere. Og så er det så utrolig mye godt tilbehør man kan lage. Et av disse er coleslaw, en tradisjonell sur, søt amerikansk kåldressing. Dette passer skikkelig godt til klassisk grillmat som pølser, burgere og ikke minst spareribs. Salaten har sprø grønnsaker og den deilig

Nå har nykålen kommet i butikkene, og den egner seg spesielt godt til å lage coleslaw med, synes jeg.

Ofte lages dressingen til denne salaten med majones, eller en blanding av creme fraiche, men jeg har laget en litt lettere variant med kesam og majones. Noe å tenke på for de som synes en majonesdressing høres litt voldsomt ut, eller for de som tenker på kaloriene nå før sommeren. Godt er det  alle fall.

Ingredienser

  • 1 hode nykål
  • 1 stor gulrot
  • 1 ss salt
  • 2 ss sukker
  • 2 dl kesam
  • 3 ss majones
  • 1 ss eplesidereddik
  • 1 ts sukker
  • salt og pepper

Fremgangsmåte

  • Skjær kål i fine strimler og riv gulroten på den grove siden av rivjernet.
  • Bland grønnsakene godt med salt og sukker og la det stå i 10-15 minutter.
  • Bland sammen resten av ingrediensene til en dressing og smak til slutt til med salt,  pepper. og evt. mer sukker til du før en smak du liker.
  • Skyll grønnsakene godt, hvis ikke kan salaten bli veldig salt.
  • Klem ut så mye vann som mulig.
  • Rør grønnsakene inn i dressingen.
  • Oppbevares i kjøleskapet til servering.

Tips

Jo mer vann du får klemt ut av grønnsakene, desto bedre. Legg dem gjerne i et kjøkkenhåndkle og hold det som et knytte som strammes for å få ut mest mulig. Blir det for mye væske igjen inni grønnsakene blir dressingen vannet ut og grønnsakene blir slappe.
