Dette her er bare så godt. Om du ikke har laget bakt paprika før, så må du bare prøve det. Etter en god stund i ovnen blir den litt skarpe smaken helt borte og paprikaen blir veldig søt og mild i smaken.

Her ha jeg laget en enkel salat av de bakte paprikaene, og den passer i grunnen til det meste. Den er super til stekt eller grillet kjøtt. Passer perfekt til meze eller som tilbehør til falafel. Fordi de er så søte passer de også veldig godt sammen med salte ting som fetaost eller ansjoser. I Italia er det ikke uvanlig å få servert bakt paprika med ansjos som antipasti. Disse paprikaene kan også brukes i salater eller i sandwicher.

Jeg skal ikke legge skjul på at det er litt frisete å få skinnet av paprikaene, men det er så definitivt verdt det. For at jobben skal bli enklest mulig har jeg følgende tips.

  1. Sørg for at paprikaene er så kjøttfulle som mulig (de føles tunge når du holder dem i hånden).
  2. Røde paprikaer egner seg best.
  3. Smør skinnet med olje.
  4. Ikke vær for utålmodig når du baker dem. Skinnet skal bli ganske mørkt.
  5. Legg de ferdig bakte paprikaene i en boks med lokk eller en tett pose rett fra ovnen og la dem ligge til de har blitt helt kalde.

Gjør du dette, skal det gå nokså lett å trekke av skinnet. Saften fra paprikaene kan av og til misfarge fingrene, så er du redd for det, kan du bruke tynne latekshansker.

Ingredienser

  • 4 røde paprikaer
  • olivenolje
  • nykvernet pepper
  • flaksalt

Fremgangsmåte

  • Sett ovnen på 200 grader.
  • Skjær paprikaene i to og ta ut kjernehuset.
  • Legg paprikaene i en ildfast form og pensle med litt olivenolje.
  • Stek paprikaene i 35-40 minutter, til de har blitt ganske sorte i skinnet, men pass på at de ikke blir forkullet.
  • Ta paprikaene ut og legg dem i en boks med lokk eller en plastpose og la dem ligge der til de har blitt kalde.
  • Ta dem ut og dra av skinnet.
  • Skjær i  strimler og dander på et fat.
  • Ringle over litt olivenolje og dryss med salt og pepper.
