Ikke et vondt ord om den gode, tradisjonelle agurksalaten som vi aller er vokst opp med som tilbehør til kokt laks. Men, det er jo alltid greit å ha flere muligheter, og denne salaten er en litt spennende vri på den gamle klassikeren. Asiatisk agurksalat passer ypperlig til grillmat, både kjøtt og fisk. Eller hvorfor ikke gi den tradisjonelle stekte makrellen et nytt og litt eksotisk følge? Asiatisk agurksalat passer også veldig godt til grillet svinefilet med asiatiske smaker. 

Salaten er frisk og litt hot (eller veldig om du ønsker). Det tar riktignok litt lengre tid enn vanlig agurksalat å lage fordi agurkskivene drysses med salt først for å trekke ut så mye væske som mulig. Jeg mener dette er vel anvendt tid, for det gjør agurkskivene mer sprøe. Dessuten tar de bedre til seg smak fra dressingen siden de har mistet mye vann.

Ingredienser

  • 2 slangeagurker
  • 1 ss salt
  • 3 ts riseddik
  • 1 ss soyasaus
  • 1 ts sesamolje
  • 1/2 chili, finhakket
  • 1 ts ingefær, finhakket
  • 1 fedd hvitløk, finhakket

Fremgangsmåte

  • Skjær agurken i tynne skiver med en ostehøvel eller mandolin
  • Bland saltet inn i agurkskivene og legg agurken i en sil og la renne av i ca. 15 minutter.
  • I mens, bland de øvrige ingrediensene.
  • Skyll agurkene godt slik at alt overflødig salt forsvinner.
  • Bland dressingen inn i agurkene.

Sett gjerne salaten kaldt før den serveres.

Hei, Så hyggelig å høre. det er en smakssak. Hvis du vil ha en sterkere salat bruker du frøene, og hvis du vil ha en mildere variant, tar du dem ut. Jeg har forresten lagt merke til at det er stor forskjell på hvor sterke chiliene i butikken er også. Så jeg pleier å skjære av en ørliten bit og smake før jeg bestemmer meg for hvor mye og evt. før eller ikke.
